How to use: Inserting or replacing a cartridge

You insert a new cartridge at the start of your treatment and every 28 days thereafter:

  1. Remove the pen cap and detach the dark cartridge holder by twisting it.
  2. Insert a Movymia® (teriparatide) cartridge into the pen cartridge holder, making sure the metal cap of the clear cartridge goes in first. Always check the cartridge is labelled ‘Movymia®’.
  3. Gently push the rod back into the device in a straight line.
  4. Now re-attach the cartridge holder by twisting it until it stops (about a quarter turn or 90°).

Important:

  • Please write down your medication batch number (which appears on the box) in Your Movymia Treatment Diary.
  • Do not use if the cartridge is cloudy, discoloured or contains particles. If this happens you should use a new cartridge. Keep the rejected cartridge and contact your Homecare provider who will provide you with a replacement.
