How to use: Preparing to inject

Prepare for your daily injection

You will need:

  • Your Movymia® (teriparatide) pen with inserted cartridge and new pen needle attached (important: use a new needle for every injection).
  • Your sharps bin for disposal of the needle after your injection (you should have been provided with a sharps bin).
  • To wash your hands well with soap to minimise the risk of infection.

  1. Turn the dose knob at the bottom of the pen, clockwise until it stops and cannot be rotated further. Make sure the display shows an arrow sign and the two indicator stripes are aligned. If the dose knob will not turn, the cartridge needs replacing.
Important:
Do not use if the cartridge is cloudy, discoloured or contains particles. If this happens you should use a new cartridge. Keep the rejected cartridge and contact your Homecare provider who will provide you with a replacement.
